The Vancouver Innovation Center (The VIC) has achieved a remarkable
sustainability milestone, maintaining consistent energy usage despite
reaching nearly full occupancy through strategic efficiency upgrades and
partnerships.
Energy Efficiency Upgrades
Working with Clark Public Utilities and Bonneville Power
Administration's Energy Smart Industrial (ESI) program, The VIC
implemented comprehensive energy efficiency improvements across the
179-acre campus. These upgrades, focusing on lighting and HVAC systems,
will result in energy savings of approximately 6,700,000 kWh
annually—equivalent to powering more than 600 Washington state
households.
Sustainability Initiatives
The sustainability initiatives implemented at The VIC include
comprehensive lighting system upgrades, HVAC system modernization, and
strategic partnerships with utility providers for efficiency incentives.
These improvements demonstrate The VIC's ongoing commitment to
environmental responsibility while maintaining high-quality workspace
solutions for tenants.
A Transformative Sustainable Community
The VIC continues to transform the former Hewlett Packard campus into
Vancouver's premier sustainable mixed-use community, combining
innovative workspace solutions with environmental responsibility.
